Stilson Canoe Race - July & August
The Stilson is a canoe race that includes both paddling and portaging. It is recognized as Ahmek's most intense race and its prize most coveted. The participants leave from the canoe docks and follow the long and arduous route. The Junior Stilsons, though suited to the age of the participants and shorter, are just as intense and held near the end of each session.

The Dewey Run
Every Thursday morning the Dewey Run is held at Camp Ahmek. The route is just under one mile long, it winds through various sections of camp, and ends in front of the Ahmek Dining Hall.

The Nana Civic (Archery)
The Nana Civic is a biathlon type event which involves target shooting and running. The participants are challenged to hit the archery targets after running the pre set course. The race is done once in the summer, winners names go up in the dining hall.
AHMEK & WAPOMEO ( Intercamp Activities)

"Mock" Hunt - July
The more experienced riders are invited to join our "Mock" Hunt. Riders and instructors take on the roles of fox, hound and field and enjoy a fun-filled morning chasing the elusive fox through scenic trails and forests.
Gymkhana - August
A new August event for avid riders at Ahmek and Wapomeo, the Gymkhana is a day of games and fun on horseback. Novice and experienced riders compete together on teams for the honour of winning the "Jimmy Khana Cup."
The Big Event - August
A theme-based intercamp event for the three youngest sections. An energetic, fun-filled day that ends with a shared BBQ. Past themes have included Survivor, Olympics, Carnival & Star Wars.
Green Thursdays - July & August
On the third Thursday of each month, Ahmek and Wapomeo join together, dressed in green to celebrate Mother Earth. Afternoons of games, quizzes and pageantry emphasize the vulnerable state of our environment.
The Roper Dayment - July
The Wilson - August

These are friendly sailing competitions between Ahmek and Wapomeo. The sailors are challenged through a number of different courses, over two days. The Canoe Lake waters and winds add to the challenge and fun of these events.
Final Play - August
This is an intercamp drama production put on by the Senior boys and girls. Many of the principle actors are chosen from the long trips to participate. The production is put together in just over a week and is put on for all campers from both Ahmek and Wapomeo.
Water Boiling - July & August
This is a competition held each session during Senior Council Ring. The competitors use either cedar or pitch pine to light a fire and see who can be the first to boil water. This is a challenging competition with the fastest times being under four minutes.
