Algonquin Park Location

Cradled in the majesty of one of Canada's great wonders, Algonquin Park.

A boys and a girls camp, a mile apart on beautiful Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park, Ontario. There is Camp Ahmek for Boys with its beaches and shoreline stretching over a mile of waterfront with natural mixed hardwood forest surrounding the camp everywhere. Ahmek’s magnificent Dining Hall, filled with historic artifacts, graces the splendid waterfront in central camp.

Camp Wapomeo for Girls is located on two separate islands, Main and Senior, where cabins nestle in the trees and the sound of laughter is constant and contagious. Main is home to the younger girls and bustles with activity. This is where the venerable Dining Hall and beautifully designed Main Lodge are located, right on the waterfront. Senior is strictly for older girls who covet their domain. The cabins are log and the atmosphere laidback. Many of these girls take their Canoe Tripping seriously.

Campers call this “summer home”, cradled in the majesty of one of Canada’s great wonders, Algonquin Park. Thousands of lakes, ponds and river systems create a myriad of canoe tripping options in the backcountry of maple hills, rocky ridges, spruce bogs and sandy beaches. It can’t get any better.

Add to this setting amazing in-camp facilities- buildings, equipment and infrastructure- and it is easy to understand why The Taylor Statten Camps are so popular.
