A typical day at Camp Wapomeo

  • 7:30 am

    Good morning, Canoe Lake! Campers wake up to one of Canada's wonders, Algonquin Provincial Park. It's time to start a great day!

  • 8:00 am

    There's no better way to start the day than with a healthy Camp Wapomeo breakfast. After morning announcements, meditation and a musical selection, let the activities begin!

  • 9:15-10:30 am

    A Camp Wapomeo morning incorporates 2 of the many great in camp activities! Campers and their cabin mates are accompanied by counsellors as they head off to the first programmed activity. Activities include canoeing, swimming, horseback riding, archery, tennis, and high ropes... just to name a few!

  • 10:45 am-12:00 pm

    Campers move from their first activity to the next! Enjoying all the fun a day at summer camp has to offer.

  • 12:30 pm

    It's lunchtime in the dining hall, with the sounds of chants and songs, campers’ enjoy the summer camp atmosphere. Lunch is accompanied by a salad bar full of fresh vegetables!

  • 1:15-2:15 pm

    Before the activity-filled afternoon begins, it's time for a much-needed rest-hour. Campers and staff recharge by having a siesta, taking a quiet read in the library or enjoying some down time with friends.

  • 2:15-3:30 pm

    After some much needed time to re-energize, campers and staff head to the third activity of the day. With the in camp programming schedule, each day is different.

  • 3:45-5:00 pm

    It's time to move into the last programmed activity of the day! Don't worry the fun doesn't end here.

  • 5:00 pm

    Camp Wapomeo's island home is surrounded by a beautiful waterfront and so before dinner, it's time to enjoy all it has to offer. Open to all, campers get the chance to tune up on their swimming skills, splash around in the pool, jump on the water trampoline or dive off the diving board.

  • 6:00 pm

    Campers and staff return to the dining hall after an afternoon full of excitement and a cool down in the lake. Family-style dinner is served and campers can reflect on the fun-filled day behind them while they prepare for the evening activity that will follow.

  • 7:30-8:30 pm

    The day isn't over just yet. Evening activity is different than morning and afternoon programming. Campers and staff join in on evening activities that differ each night and include events such as show night, lipsync, capture the flag, coffee house, stargazing, scavenger hunts, campfires, storytelling, spa nights and more!

  • 9:00-9:30 pm

    Cabins are calling, it's time for bed. Goodnight, another beautiful day awaits!
