A Typical Day at Wapomeo

The Day Begins With…

7:30am Wake up bell
8:00am a nutritious breakfast is served in the dining hall followed by a musical morning meditation to start the day.
9:30-10:30am First activity period: Campers enthusiastically participate in the many activities at camp such as swimming, canoeing, sailing, horse-back riding, weaving, pottery, just to name a few…
10:45am-12:05pm Second activity period
12:30 Lunch: enjoyed in the dining hall, often accompanied by chants and songs resonating from the campers’ and sections’ tables getting louder as the meal continues
1:15-2:15pm Rest-hour: Campers and staff recharge in preparation for the afternoon by taking a siesta, enjoying a quiet read in the library.
2:15-3:30pm Third activity period
3:45-5:00pm Fourth activity period
5:00-5:30pm Free Swim: open to all campers giving them a chance to tune up on their swimming skills or just a chance to splash around in the pool and off the diving board
6:00pm Family-style dinner served in the dining hall followed by a rousing sing-song
7:30-8:30pm Evening activities: Challenges including king’s court, capture the flag, war canoe races; also: coffee house, show nights, stargazing, scavenger hunts, campfires, storytelling, spa nights
9:00-9:30pm Bedtime
