Greetings from the beautiful shores of Canoe Lake,
This year I have the pleasure of being the Mountaineer Section Director. At the start of the summer this will have been my 11th year at camp and my 6th year as a staff member at the Taylor Statten Camps. Last year I was given the opportunity to lead a Quetico with our new Head of Trip Sean Whelan, and a Kipawa trip the pervious year; so this is a new experience for me however, I am very enthusiastic for the summer to commence and for the campers to arrive. Looking back almost a decade ago as a mountaineer camper, it was easily a definitive moment in my life that introduced me to the affection and appreciation of camps’ activities and of course the trips we have to offer. As a mountaineer camper your son will have the opportunity to engage in activities like sailing, archery, riding, windsurfing and be able to achieve levels in swimming and canoeing. I will be available throughout the summer to guide and help your sons’ as they enjoy one of the best summers of their lives.
