Taylor C. Statten

Taylor represents the 4th generation of the Statten family to carry on the TSC traditions. Born into and raised through the ranks as camper and staff, Taylor gained significant knowledge of the camps operations. Wanting to obtain outside business experience, Taylor worked for BMO Nesbitt Burns on the retail investment side before moving to England to pursue an MBA in International Finance. Once graduated, Taylor assumed the role of Director of Business Operations for the camps before being promoted to Managing Director & President of the Board of Directors. He is the first Statten to hold a position on the financial side of the organization.
Jackie Pye

Director, Camp Wapomeo
Jackie has spent a majority of her childhood summers at camps in the Haliburton and Huntsville areas. She first joined TSC as a staff member in 1992 as Head of Ecology at Ahmek. The following summers were spent as a counsellor and canoe trip guide, leading one of the first all-female longer canoe trips. In 1997, she was promoted to Wapomeo Canoe Trip Director and Head of Guides. She later spent a summer at our Temagami Outpost as Assistant Director. Since her departure from camp in 1998, Jackie has been teaching in Huntsville and Collingwood, Ontario. More recently, she spent some time teaching in the Indian Himalaya with her two girls, Roxana and Asha and her husband Steve. Currently, Jackie works as a teacher with a focus on addictive behaviours relating to substance abuse.
Jason Kennedy

Director, Camp Ahmek
Jay Kennedy returns to the Taylor Statten Family after a long absence. During this time he backpacked extensively for 2 years, returning to Canada to become the Promotions Manager for magazines owned by Rogers Media. Last year he departed for Wales where he undertook study for his Post Graduate Certificate in Education and, having completed his degree, returned to Toronto, where he currently works as a teacher for the Peel District School Board. Jay brings 14 summers of TSC experience to bear on his new role and has gone all the way through the ranks, from Bantam to Long-trip staff.
Taylor “Tike” Statten, Jr.

Tike represents the third generation of the Statten family to manage Ahmek and Wapomeo. Tike has been to camp every summer of his life, including 20 years as Director of Ahmek and 12 years as Director of Wapomeo. He has also served as Director of our Temagami Outpost, thus equipping himself with a comprehensive knowledge of and responsibility for our total camp operation. Tike’s wife Sue, is enthusiastically involved with the Camps, providing quality leadership in the equestrian program.
Dr. Taylor Statten

“Dr. Tay.”, as he is fondly referred to at camp, remains involved in the operation of both camps. Son of the founder, Dr. Tay was Director of Camp Ahmek for 35 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys fishing on Canoe Lake at quiet times during the day and getting to know Ahmek campers through his daily interaction in camp life.
