Ojib
Sarah Natrass, SD – July
Growing up in Vancouver, Sarah spent her first summer on Canoe Lake at age 11. Instantly falling in love with the remarkable beauty of lake country, new best friends, and the challenge of canoe trip, Sarah returned to Wapomeo each summer for the next four years. Her month at camp was always the highlight of each year, and brought her a degree of happiness and a sense of contentment that the city couldn’t. Embarking on the 21-day canoe trip Kipowa was an extremely rewarding way to finish her Wapomeo camper experience. Since then Sarah has spent time on Canoe lake as a C.I.T. in the Kiowa section, counsellor in the Ojib section, and this year is so excited to be the Ojib Section Director in July and Kipowa guide in August. She looks forward to another happy and healthy summer on Canoe Lake and hopes to help bring every camper the sort of amazing summer she had each year!
Mimi Vennat, SD – August
Hi, I’m Mimi Vennat and I will be the Ojib section director in August this summer. I have always lived in Montreal and currently attend McGill University, majoring in international development studies with a minor in anthropology. I started as a TSC camper at the age of eight and have since missed only one summer, making this my twelfth on Canoe Lake. As a camper, I embarked on both Quetico and Wabakimi, and last summer I had the opportunity to lead a Barron River. I am so excited to get to know your daughter and to help make sure that her summer is as special and full of memories as those that I have always spent at Wapomeo.
