Wapomeo’s Facilities

Camp Wapomeo is located on two islands in Canoe Lake – Main and Senior Island. The younger girls live in cabins set along the shoreline of the Main lsland, while the senior girls live in cabins and tents on the more rustic Senior Island.

Dining Hall: Our Dining Hall is not only home to all non-cookout meals, but also the vast history of Wapomeo canoe trips, and the various musical mealtime traditions.

The Wapomeo Main Lodge: Our brand new lodge, complete with indoor/outdoor stage, library, and professional sound system is the ideal setting for many theatrical and musical performances.

The Flushies: Central washroom and shower facilities.

Watersport Facilities: An enclosed Swimming area, Canoeing docks, a Sailor’s Clubhouse, and a vast waterfront to enjoy!

Land Activity Facilities: Though campers participate in activities at the island’s own Pottery Shack, Weavery, Arts & Crafts, Campcraft, Drama and Music they can also travel to the mainland to partake in the bountiful Landsport Facilities found there.

Infirmary: Fully supplied and staffed by a medical doctor and nursing students.

Cabins: rustic and well-maintained log cabins employed for comfortable summer accommodations.

The Tripping Room: Fully supplied outfitting facility for all Wapomeo canoe trips.
