Dr. Taylor Statten,
C.M., M.C., M.D., F.R.C.P. (C),
Chairman, Taylor Statten Camp Co., Ltd.
"Dr. Tay.", as he is fondly referred to at camp, remains involved in the operation of both camps. Son of the founder, Dr. Tay was Director of Camp Ahmek for 35 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys fishing on Canoe Lake at quiet times during the day and getting to know Ahmek campers through his daily interaction in camp life.

Director, Camp Ahmek
Tike represents the third generation of the Statten family to manage Ahmek and Wapomeo. Tike has been at camp since he was born, and gained considerable experience as he held all senior positions at Camp Ahmek. He has also served as director of our Temagami Outpost and of Camp Wapomeo for 12 years, thus equipping himself with a comprehensive knowledge of and responsibility for our total camp operation. Tike's wife Sue is enthusiastically involved with the Camps and providing quality leadership in the equestrian program.

Julie Girvan,

Director, Camp Wapomeo
Julie has been involved with Camp Wapomeo since 1990. She has been part of our staff since 1996, working her way up through the ranks; from CIT, to counsellor, up to section director and long trip counsellor. Julie has held many senior summer positions such as CIT Director, Program Director, and Assistant Director. She was appointed the Director of Camp Wapomeo in September 2005. Throughout the year, she works in the independent school system as a high school science teacher.
Taylor C. Statten,

Taylor represents the 4th generation of the Statten family to carry on the TSC traditions. Born and raised through the ranks as camper and staff, Taylor gained significant knowledge of the camps operations. Wanting to obtain outside business experience, Taylor worked for BMO (Bank of Montreal) Nesbitt Burns on the retail investment side before moving to England to pursue an MBA in International Finance. Once graduated, Taylor assumed the role of Director of Business Operations for the camps before being promoted to Managing Director. He is the first Statten to hold a position on the financial side of the organization.
