Job description:

Do you like textiles?  The weaving program was started in the 1920′s at Camp Wapomeo for girls and has continued since then. Camp Wapomeo has three larger floor looms and two smaller floor looms. We do have a variety of other equipment which has been donated over the years including a number of hand looms. The programs make up is determined by the instructor in regards of what to teach and how to teach.  Knitting and crochet are also a possibility here; felt up a storm! Current First Aid and CPR “B” certification is required.

We currently have one (1) opening for Weaving  Instructor.

Compensation varies depending on experience.  All positions include room, board, laundry and use of facilities.

We also require two reference forms to be filled out by employers, teachers or similar references.

Location: The Taylor Statten Camps, Canoe Lake, Algonquin Park, Ontario.

Dates: From June 17th, 2012 to August 24th, 2012 inclusive.
